Lambton Chiropody

Allison Deery graduated with distinction from the Chiropody program at the Michener Institute of Education at UHN in 2021. During her training she gained hands-on experience as a student resident at the Michener Chiropody Clinic in downtown Toronto, where she also served as a mentor to junior students.
Originally from Sarnia, Ontario, Allison completed 7.5 years of post-secondary education, earning an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology from Western University, followed by an Advanced Diploma in Chiropody. Her strong foundation in movement science, combined with her lifelong involvement in athletics, sparked a deep interest in health and wellness and ultimately guided her toward a career in healthcare. Allison’s passion for chiropody developed after seeking treatment for her own foot/knee concerns, where she recognized both the value of specialized care and the growing need for foot health services in the community.
Allison is committed to ongoing professional development through continuing education to ensure her patients receive the most current, evidence-based, and effective treatments available.
Outside of the clinic, Allison enjoys staying active and can often be found playing tennis or beach volleyball, or fitting in a good workout. She loves spending time with her handsome goldendoodle, Frank, and enjoys unwinding by cooking at home or trying out new restaurants around the community.

Chelsea Charteris is a 2018 graduate from the Chiropody program at The Michener Institute of Education. She gained both Honours and the “Silver Award” for academic excellence, as well as mentoring and tutoring her fellow peers throughout the program. Before pursuing more education, she originally went to the University of Guelph graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Human Kinetics. This allowed Chelsea to gain experience in the physiotherapy field where she worked as an assistant to physiotherapy treatments in both private practice and long-term care. It was through this line of work she found a passion for health care and saw the demand in foot health and education needed in her hometown. Chelsea has a keen interest on how feet impact the human biomechanics of everyday life and specific sports, and looking into pediatric cases for proper foot development. There is a passion to learn and always update the knowledge and skillset required to provide patients the best care possible. In addition to her chiropody interests, Chelsea is a sports enthusiast who from a young age, and to this day, still plays a variety of sports like basketball and volleyball. If she isn’t found traveling or on an adventure with her husband, she is chasing after her 2 children (and additional furry ones at home).

I graduated from Lambton College, where I built a strong foundation in business communication, academic writing, and medical office administration. That experience helped me develop clear, organized documentation skills and the confidence to handle detailed administrative tasks.

I care about making things easier for people whether that means organizing tasks, improving communication, or helping a process feel smoother. My work is really about supporting real people and creating experiences that feel clear, friendly, and genuinely helpful. I enjoy improving customer interactions, building trust, and making sure others feel confident and cared for. No matter what I’m working on, I try to bring clarity, kindness, and meaningful impact.
